One can only imagine the awe experienced by our nation's early settlers who traveled through such mind-boggling venues as The Grand Canyon, The Badlands of North and South Dakota, the hoo doos of Bryce Canyon in Utah, the vast red rock territory of Arizona and the towering mountains of New Mexico. For them the journey was a mixture of wonder and apprehension. For us, in our modern age, it is a fascinating journey to be savored and enjoyed.
