There are many ways to shoot a sunrise or sunset.  You can look right into it and use clouds and other “buffers” to create interesting and colorful effects, or you can turn your back to the sun and see its effect on the objects reflecting its magnificent power.  In this beautiful landscape in the Grand Canyon National Park, I turned my back and I was rewarded.
