All forms of wildlife images are available to the photography enthusiast. Many animals are elusive and shy — many walk freely among park visitors. Bison are especially present — so much so that you are warned to stay away from them as they stroll the roads and lie along the byways. They are, after all, wild and unpredictable — but, oh, so beautiful. This photograph is typical of a spring scene in Yellowstone National Park, as bison cows give birth in mid-May.
